I'm a 68-year old man who's very curious about the things I am interested in, that includes cognitive health (naturally), music, politics, social justice, male-friendships.
I not-so-secretly want to join my wife as an established travel writer. I love to travel but I am not experienced or expert enough to appreciate adventure, risk, or too much discomfort. Hopefully this will change. Check back in 2021.
Although I’m not a fiction reader, I do appreciate the power of a good narrative. There’s nothing more enjoyable than conducting a revealing interview then pulling out a story from a small thread unnoticed by anyone else.
I have an undergraduate degree in American Studies, 1973, back when interdisciplinary studies was just becoming “a thing.” I wasn’t particularly gifted or academic but found great satisfaction in learning how to make connections between disciplines. It’s the major reason why I read the NYTimes daily.
And lastly, I love to play bocce. It’s slowish maybe too much for some people, very tactile, visually stimulating, and immensely social. A game for all ages and all genders.
